The youth hunt is limited to 12 youth ages 11 to 15 who have completed hunter safety.
NOTE: If a youth was to attend an in-person hunter education course that has been cancelled due to COVID-19 the State of Iowa will allow a youth (15 years and younger) to participate in hunting activities if accompanied by an adult 18 and older who holds a valid hunting permit. That requirement will be met by the youth mentor and / or the dog handler.
